Simplicity 7229 1 hour skirt

I rushed through this pattern, but not without adding a lining to it.  It's a poly crepe that has been in the stash forever, I love the color but the hand is pebbly and rough.  This pattern is shamelessly easy, and I liked the idea of a little bias skirt.  I have a few favorite skirts that are knee length that I wear often.
Forgive the crooked pic, I've had a headache all day, and after four tries, I just stopped trying to get it level.

It looks pretty good, and it will be wash and wear, but the yoke forms a horizontal tuck sometimes, that I'm not really happy with.

I cut the skirt on the bias, and added a lining to it (which is also cut on the bias).  I think with a little shaping on the yoke, it might improve. It says on the pattern that the waist sits 2" below your natural waist, but that doesn't improve it. Not a couture garment but, if you need a quick pattern for beach wear, or pajama bottoms this might be it.  Once you wear a t-shirt over it you can no longer see the yoke.

Too cute. If and when the snow melts here I will resume my skirt projects. I really like this one, I will add the pattern to my list. Thanks.

I've updated the yoke pic, just so you know what you'd be getting into:)

Thanks sewducky, I just have to update, the yoke has relaxed a bit, so it doesn't look as lumpy.
