Vintage Vogue 1911 YSL Cargo pants

Remember that pattern I was after on ebay?
Here it is made up, this is the wearable muslin version and I am over the moon with them.  They are a light cotton twill perfect for summer, loads of topstitching, loads of pockets and a rise that is perfect for me.

These pants are interesting, they have a relatively slim leg, a seam across the top thigh, and there is ease built in through that seam.   I love the scale and shape of the pockets.

So much topstitching

Now I'll be on the lookout for better fabric for this project... the fabric used here was a light cotton twill and Kaffe Fasset quilting cotton - for the pocket linings.

these are really nice, a more grown up and cultured cargo pant, if you will. the pocket flaps make it that way i think. fit looks really good too!

Thanks Corrine, the fit is different for sure, there's fullness in the front, but they are very comfortable, and the fit is great for straight out of the envelope.

Your pants turned out great. Right on trend for the safari/cargo look, but just a little different. I like the way you used a fun print for the lining.
