How a Jellyroll quilt race is like a Mini Marathon

The anticipation before the race, the way your mind rushes while it's working out strategy.

The warm up

The start

The internal conversation.....

This is fun!!

These grain lines are distracting...... I do not like these pinked edges

Should I stop and iron these?

Quilters in Idaho and Missouri do this for fun?

My back hurts

Who said this was a good idea

Are we having fun yet?

What am I going to have for dinner tonight

I need to get my tax paperwork organized

Is that the front door bell?

Ack!! I've run out of thread....

I like these colors.

Am I done yet?

1 Hour 23 minutes later or 1,600 inches .....  Hey that wasn't so bad, now what am I going to do with it?

Don't you love a marathon???? You did good, now, I pressed each seam as I went, old habit, cannot break, prefer the outcome. Now remember, you can cross cut this, and reassemble the pieces. Love the bright colors in contranst with the white.
