I couldn't leave it alone Issey Miyake Vogue 2796 - adjustments

The paper pattern was sized 6, 8, 10, grading must have happened somewhere along the way with the traced copy. After a sanity check, the measurements of the sleeve opening to the sleeve, and the neck facing to the body, a new facing piece was drafted, the back was adjusted for swayback, it was lengthened, and a new piece for the V neck has been added that will be applied on top of the existing.  Again, another wearable toile, hopefully.

The new pieces....

The neck facing was still too small, despite the paper pattern pieces fitting properly, maybe the knit is stretching out.  The fabric is very fluid, the kind that is easily pushes into the bobbin area if you don't have a new needle.  I like the solution, little square pieces were added to bridge the facing to the V neck, and then top stitched.

It's a good length now with plenty of ease.

The back was where the fit issues were with the pattern, the front pattern piece was unaltered, except for the length.

The hem was not turned up, instead, a band was added to the hem to lengthen it just slightly.
The band was part of the original design.

For the next version, the shoulders will be narrowed a bit, and I will add a bit to the sleeve cap.

Just for fun.....

I needed to dip into some of the scrap to finish the project which looked like this... I don't keep my fabrics like this ever, this was scrap from another project, I must have gotten mad at it, ha!

The pieces were separated ....

and pressed....

Until every last piece was sorted

I think these scraps might have a future as panties and ties.

Meanwhile, I ordered some leggings because I couldn't make them for what they were selling for, and I genuinely don't have enough fabric to make but one pair of leggings.  Those crazy striped ones were $5.00.  The fabric isn't as firm as lulumons but they will do for now, and the tops are long enough to hide under.

For the Activewear plan, I now have

8 bottoms and 9 tops. Yay!

I've added two Lark t shirts, and one wearable Vogue 2796, and four purchased bottoms.
