Teshima 7

Dinner is across the street it’s allegedly an Italian restaurant. Everything is very tasty, except I had an issue with the Wagyu, it was too rich for me.

The carpaccio was really good, not something you can make at home though, because it's all about fresh fish.  The fish so far has all been very fresh.

This soup was very interesting.
It was very concentrated, then topped off with milk put through a steamer.

Special Bouillabase pasta

The kitchen busy at work.

Wagyu.  Looking at it here, it could have been a bit too rare, yikes.
I had to look it up later, but apparently some people have had the same reaction I had.  Instant rejection.

Tarte Tartin

Finally mid afternoon, I make it to Teshima. There is one cab on the island, and a few buses. I’m staying here overnight and have been traveling with a backpack. It’s a cute hotel with a view of the ocean, it’s a 12 minute walk from the port luera. Fortunately I have dinner reserved across the street. I’ve been moving a lot on this trip, so tonight I rest

Ok, if this thing isn't pitching in with the room, it has got to go.
It was fun watching hotel staff dancing around trying to get this queen. They were very animated.

Finally my bed for the night.

Very clean bathroom

Slippers are provided in all of the hotels.  You are expected to leave your street shoes at the threshold, and wear your slippers in the bed area.  I have funny slippers later on to show you.

This was the hotel, on Teshima

The worlds tiniest sink.

The world’s tiniest garbage bin.

Tomorrow we leave to Kyoto. I think.
