Sometimes, You Can't Find What You Want and You Have To Make It.....

I like these, I mean I really like these, ok not these exactly but that embroidery down the side of the leg has grown on me, and now I need a pair of pants with some embroidery.

First, I couldn't find the exact embroidery, close but no cigar.  Then someone mentioned that maybe copying the exact design wouldn't be desirable, and we create to express ourselves so off I went.

Last night with marker and paper, I came up with this.

Then I colored it in with marker, I forgot how relaxing coloring can be.

I ran it through a graphic design program and created a vector file.

This morning, put it through an embroidery design program.

Here is my first attempt in a scaled down version.

How cute is it?  I am so excited!!  Soon I will have those embroidered pants!  or a skirt.

I really like it. I'm a fan of embroidery on pants, but I've never done any myself. What embroidery design program do you use?

Impressed, so impressed. Isn't technology amazing?

Thank you, yes technology, unbelievable.

Kimberly - I used the Bernina Designer Plus v5. I'm still really learning the program.

Wow! That is gonna be something. Love the pants. What color are you going to use?

For the skirt I'm still playing, it will either be navy or orange. For the pants it will have to be what is in stash, so taupe or dark wash denim.

I love technology! If only I had unlimited funds. Your design is so pretty, and I hope you show us what you make with it.
