First quilt completed in 2020.... and a monogramed circuit board patch

Done and done, this puppy is going home tomorrow.  This will be for my brother, who is an electrical engineer, and during his career designed circuit boards, and once, cheekily, added his initials to one of his designs.  No one ever asked, they just assumed it was all part of the magic that makes these things happen.  It can only ever be his now.....

This little number was attached by hand to the back, the block underneath, has the quilted center block.  I couldn't think of any other way to get in on.

A little about how this quilt was finished, and what took a fair amount of time was burying the threads once the squares were quilted.  All four threads were brought to the top, threaded onto a needle and buried in the seam allowances of the block.

Leaving a nice clean looking quilted area on the front.

And on the back.  I'm glad I got some nice squared squares, it actually looks intentional, which it was.

I think a little experimentation needs to be done with the machine's ability to tie knots.  A sample block quilted using the knot function and a run a few times in the washing machine to see how it will wear, that would speed things up considerably, and save my eyes and back.

And for the times the threads were shredded, the needle threader was brought in.

This little bundle is complete. Tomorrow I will take the last shots, the sun has set and no good pics can be had tonight.

He's such a goofball, it took me 5 minutes to get these shots, without him dropping them and making a funny face.... brothers.
