Sure couture is all fun and games until the wide seam allowances turn on you, so it's important to tame them.
Pressing does little to help this process, and you really don't want to flatten the seams with an iron, you want them to roll a little, like they've not been touched by human hands.... (of course you wouldn't want a jacket made by a monkey.... not that I've ever seen a sewing monkey...are we done yet?).
Front princess line seams catch stitched here...

The back seam finished here...just the sleeves and armhole left to go.
I think I like it inside out better than right side out but it could be that I'm getting a little punchy.
Is that spaghetti?

I am so impressed! Now I just want to remind you that a art quilter would save all those strips of organza, gather them up with a tiny stitch, form them into little flowers and tack them to something. Of course, a little seed pearl would be lovely stitched to the center of the little flower, I'm just saying. Waste nothing, save everything in little bins, boxes or baskets and label them clearly.

Surely you're not encouraging me to hoard scraps, it took me a long time to get rid of the last ones. I do make an exception with silk organza though, I use the selvages as stays on other projects.
That's a great tip! I guess I'll be hoarding silk organza scraps from now on!

Clio - I also keep my silk dupioni selvages for the same thing, they don't bulk things up.
